Angela Detanico and Rafail Lain

Biographic data

Angela Detanico (1974 ) and Rafael Lain (1973) work together since 1996, developing art and graphic design projects.

At the moment, they take part at the pavillion, group of research and production based at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and share an atelier at Cité Internationale des Arts.

Exhibitions

They have shown their work at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Ginza Graphic Gallery, Tokyo, Galeria Vermelho, Sao Paulo, mam-museu de arte moderna de sao paulo, Sao Paulo, 13° Festival Internacional de Arte Eletronica Videobrasil, Sao Paulo, SESC Pompéia, Sao Paulo, Festival Eletronika, Belo Horizonte, Itaú Cultural, Belo Horizonte, among others.

Their graphic design works include projects from typefaces to tv channels visual identities, developed to institutions like Associacao Cultural Videobrasil, Arte/Cidade, BIG Magazine, MTV and Globosat.

Angela Detanico is a Master in Semiotics and Discourse Analysis by the Pontificia Católica de Sao Paulo, in which she worked as a professor in 2001.

Rafael Lain started his carrer in graphic design in 1994 working for MTV Brasil. He was aco-founder of Burritos do Brasil, one of the most influent Brazilian graphic design studios in the 90's.

Both are co-founders of Femur Graphics and members of the board of consultants of Associacao Cultural Videobrasil.
